What is aswaaq loyalty program “wafa”?
- wafa is the exclusive Loyalty Program of aswaaq retail LLC, launched in 2008.
- It offers the customers several benefits such as cash back on monthly purchases.
What is wafa points?
- wafa points is the points earned by "wafa" members on each purchase conducted within any branch.
- The points are calculated in accordance with the terms and conditions. Example: A wafa point equals to 1 UAE Fils; 100 wafa points equal 1 UAE Dirham.
How can I register to wafa?
The registration process in wafa program and owning a wafa membership number is done through the following:
- Tablets available in Customer Service Centers.

Who is entitled to register in wafa program?
- All aswaaq customers are entitled to register in our wafa loyalty program. 
- Each customer has a unique wafa membership number where they can earn and redeem wafa points. 
What is the allowed age of a wafa member?
The minimum age of being a wafa member is 18 years old! 
What are wafa benefits?
All registered wafa members are entitled for the following benefits:
- Earning & redeeming wafa points.
- Up to 10% Cash Back on monthly purchases! Extra cash back benefits could be earned up to 1% or 5% according to the terms herein. 
- Encashing the earned wafa points 
- Exclusive promotions and special offers.
- Loading wafa account with points.
- Transferring points from one account to another.
- Donating the monetary value of the points to charitable organizations. For example, Fils for Charity, where you can donate the remaining denomination of your bill. 
- Receiving the statement of account through email on monthly basis.
Using The Smart Application (aswaaq) where you can purchase items at our supermarkets / marts without the need to wait in the que, you can self-checkout!
How is wafa points calculated?
A wafa Member earns one (1) wafa point for each Dirham spent in any branch including the online shopping platform, excluding taxes and other fees.
Payments through cash or wafa points:
In case the payments through cash payment or through wafa points, the additional points and the cash back on monthly purchases will be calculated as follows:
 
- 10 % cash back 
- If the monthly purchases are equal to or greater than AED 3,000, excluding taxes and other fees, a wafa member will be entitled to earn nine (9) additional wafa points for every AED 1 excluding taxes and other fees spent in any branch including the online shopping platform. 
Example: The total earned points would be ten (10) for every AED 1 which equals to 10% cash back on monthly purchases.  
- 5 % cash back 
- If the monthly purchases are equal to AED 1,500 and less than AED 3,000, excluding taxes and other fees, a wafa member will be entitled to earn four (4) additional wafa points for every AED 1, excluding taxes and other fees, spent in any branch including the online shopping platform. 
Example: The total earned points would be five (5) for every AED 1 which equals to 5% cash back on monthly purchases.  
- 1% cash back 
- If the monthly purchases are less than AED 1,500, excluding taxes and other fees, a wafa member will be entitled to earn (1) wafa point for every AED 1, excluding taxes and other fees, spent in any branch including the online shopping platform. 
Example: The total earned points would be five (1) for every AED 1 which equals to 1% cash back on monthly purchases.  
Payments through cards: 
In case the payments are done through credit cards, debit cards, ATM cards, Nol Cards or any way other than cash payment or through wafa points, the additional points and the cash back on monthly purchases will be calculated as follows, provided that the member shall maintain the earning of one (1) wafa point for each Dirham spent in any branch including the online shopping platform, excluding taxes and other fees:
- 8 % cash back 
o If the monthly purchases are equal to or greater than AED 3,000, excluding taxes and other fees, a wafa member will be entitled to earn seven (7) additional wafa points for every AED 1, excluding taxes and other fees, spent in any branch including the online shopping platform. 
Example: The total earned points would be eight (8) for every AED 1 which equals to 8% cash back on monthly purchases.  
- 3% cash back 
o If the monthly purchases are equal to AED 1,500 and less than AED 3,000, excluding taxes and other fees, a wafa member will be entitled to earn two (2) additional wafa points for every AED 1, excluding taxes and other fees, spent in any branch including the online shopping platform.
Example: The total earned points would be three (3) for every AED 1 which equals to 3% cash back on monthly purchases.  
- 1% cash back 
o If the monthly purchases are less than AED 1,500, excluding taxes and other fees, a wafa member will be entitled to earn (1) wafa point for every AED 1, excluding taxes and other fees, spent in any branch including the online shopping platform. 
Example: The total earned points would be five (1) for every AED 1 which equals to 1% cash back on monthly purchases. 
How can I pay through wafa points?
You can pay for your purchased items using wafa’s earned or loaded loyalty points. 
How can I earn wafa points?
Customers can earn wafa points by simply giving their registered mobile number to the cashier before their transactions are processed in order to earn the points.
How can I redeem wafa points?
Any wafa member have the right to redeem his wafa points and use them against purchases or donating its monetary value to charitable organizations or transferring them to another wafa account according to the following steps:
- Present wafa membership number or the registered mobile number to the cashier before the transactions are processed.
- Enter the pin number to finish the payment process. (a pin number can be generated, earlier during the registration process, through the call center) 
- Redeemed points will be deducted from the customer’s account immediately after finishing the payment process.
- A receipt is issued for every redemption process
How can I encash my wafa points?
Any wafa member have the right to encash his wafa points according to the following steps:
- Present a valid Emirates ID to the cashier.
- Present wafa membership number.
- Enter the pin number to finish the encashment process.
- A receipt is issued for every encashment process.
- wafa points may be encashed between the 12th and 22nd day of every month.
- Encashment process is only applicable for the exchange of AED 100 and its multiples up to AED 3,000 per day.
Encashed wafa points will be deducted from the customer’s account immediately after finishing the encashment process
How can I transfer wafa points?
Any wafa member have the right to transfer his earned or loaded points to any other account according to the following steps:
- Present wafa membership number or Mobile Number registered under the respective account.
- Present a valid identification document i.e. Emirates ID, Passport, etc.
The transfer will be reflected in the customer’s account balance within 24 hours.
How can I load and credit points into my wafa account?
Any wafa member have the right to load cash to his account by paying the amount directly to the cashier in any branch through the following steps:
- Present wafa membership number or Mobile Number registered under the respective account.
- Loading points/credit is accepted for any amount starting from 1 fils up to maximum AED 3,000 per day.
- Points/Credit loaded during a working day will be reflected in the customer account balance within 24 hours, while points/credit loaded during a weekend or public holiday will be reflected by the next working day following the weekend or public holiday.
A wafa member will be entitled for (100) points for every AED (1) loaded.
How can I get my statement of account?
- A statement of account will be issued to each wafa member illustrating the monthly transactions happened during the same month.
- The monthly statement of account will be send to the registered email address.
Each wafa member must review and verify the issued statement and notify aswaaq retail of any discrepancies within 7 working days from the date of receipt. Otherwise, the statement of account shall be considered final and approved by the wafa member.
What is the validity of wafa points?
- Earned or loaded wafa points/credit in each wafa member’s account will be valid for 24 months from the date of earning or loading them and the points/credit will expire by the end of this period if not used or acquired by any mean mentioned in this terms and conditions.
- A wafa member cannot claim his/her expired points/credit.
What are the cases that I may not be entitled to earn the points?
A wafa member may NOT be entitled to the additional points in the following cases, provided that the member shall maintain the earning of one (1) wafa point for each Dirham spent in any branch including the online shopping platform, excluding taxes and other fees:
- If the total monthly purchases of a wafa member are less than AED 1,500 excluding taxes and other fees.
- If the total purchases of one item during a month exceeded AED 500. 
- In case of purchasing Prepaid Cards i.e. NOL, Salik, Telephone Cards, i-tunes, etc.
- In case of purchasing a product subject to excise taxation.
How can I reset wafa password?
- The password can be reset through The Smart Application (aswaaq) or Customer Service Center (800aswaaq). 
- A text message will be sent to the registered mobile number for a deduction of 10 wafa points, which is equivalent to 10 Fils.
Can I cancel our wafa membership?
- To cancel your membership, please visit the nearest branch and submit your request through our Customer Service Counter.
- If value of the available wafa points/credit is less than AED 100, the wafa Member may redeem the same in any branch prior cancellation or transfer it to another valid account. 
What is aswaaq Mobile Application?
Smart Application “aswaaq” is a smart application the enables wafa members to view their purchase history lists, earned and redeemed wafa points as well as resetting their password and many other features.

Customers can also use the self-checkout counters to purchase their items at the designated self-checkout area.
How can I pay using aswaaq Mobile Application?
Paying through aswaaq Mobile Application is easy! The below payments are acceptable:

- e-wallet
- Credit Card
- Pay at POS Counter
